Wheeling, W. Va. - Following the 2026 Mountain East Conference (MEC) Women's Golf Spring Classic, the conference announced their annual Women's Golf All-MEC teams. After finishing 6th in the Fall MEC Women's Golf Championships and 4th in the MEC Spring Classic, the Wheeling University Women's Golf team was well represented, with two Cardinals making the list. Senior Ella Keffer earned First Team All-MEC honors, while Brielle Milhoan added Honorable Mention All-MEC to round out the list.
For Keffer, it is her second All-MEC honor of her career, and the first time that she has cracked the First Team All-MEC list. She has been the leader for the Cardinals all season long, shooting an average round score of 83.0. She picked up her first collegiate tournament win earlier in the fall at the Pipestem Collegiate Open. She would earn a spot on the MEC's All-Tournament team after picking up a fifth-place finish by shooting a 243 across the three rounds, including a career-best 79 in the final round. In the spring event, Keffer would sit 11th after day one, before dropping to 18th to round out the event. The senior is a two-time All-MEC honoree and ranks #157 in the region through 18 rounds of action between the fall and spring seasons.
Brielle Milhoan is taking home her first All-MEC honor of her career, after putting together her best performance of the season at the MEC Spring Classic. She would pick up her first top 10 finish of the season, finishing sixth in the field fueled by a fast start. In round one, she would shoot a PR of 78 (+8) and was a top the leaderboard as the team headed into round two. She would continue the success into the second round, shooting an 81, but dropped five spots in the standings to finish sixth in the field. She coupled that performance with a 14th place finish in the fall as she was able to get on the Honorable Mention list for the conference. Milhoan has been a mainstay in the Cardinal lineup over the last two seasons, and finished her sophomore year strong.
