Two Earn All-MEC Honors to Round Out MEC Spring Classic

The Wheeling University Women's Golf team played the last round of their 2025/26 season today, as they completed the final round of the 2026 MEC Spring Championship. The Cardinals finished the season with a joint season best 4th-place finish, and an All-MEC First Team honour for Senior Ella Keffer.

Brielle Milhoan rounded out what has been an impressive tournament for the Sophomore, as she shot a 11-over 81 to finish in 6th place. Milhoan would make only 1 double all week, the least of any player in the field.

Playing in her last collegiate tournament, Senior Ella Keffer rounded out her Wheeling career with an 18th place, enough for an All-MEC First Team honour. After close calls in previous years, it is Ella's inaugural First Team honour, and caps off a fantastic collegiate career for Wheeling.

Ivana Alvarez and Kaily Banal would again round out the scoring 4 for Wheeling, with Alvarez breaking 90 for the second day in a row, and Banal finishing the scoring with a 111. Alvarez would finish inside the top 25 with a 22nd place finish, whilst Banal took 32nd.

The Wheeling University Womens Golf team finished their season with a 4th place finish in the conference, a result that is extremely positive after a trying spring season.
