Mills Produces Solid Tourney, Cardinal Women’s Golf Competes Against Dl Field

BOARDMAN, Ohio
 – In a group full of NCAA Division I squads, Kenaida Mills produced a solid two-day tourney and finished 11th to lead the Wheeling Jesuit women's golf team at Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational.
 
Mills fired of a team-best and tied for Tuesday's top overall round of 73 with Stormy Randazzo of Marshall and Danielle Nicholson from Akron. The junior's round moved her up 12 places from 23rd to 11th in the final standings. Mills shot an 82 on Monday for a two-round 155.
 
On the team front, Marshall won the standings by 12 strokes over Akron, 608-620, and 20 over Cleveland State's 622. WJU completed the field with a 689.
 
Seniors Leah Baughman and Marci Schneider were a stroke apart with a 175 and 176. Freshman Kailey Pettit posted a 183 and Karley Morell completed the team's effort with a 196.
 
WJU returns to the links starting on Sunday, Sept. 10, as part of the Gannon Invitational.
