Cardinal Volleyball Victorious At Notre Dame College

Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team finished their eight-game road stand with a solid 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-15) win over the Falcons of Notre Dame College on Tuesday.
 
The Cardinals are now 29-5 on the season and a perfect 14-0 in MEC conference play heading into the last two games of the regular season.
 
"We're still just taking the season game by game," said WJU head coach Christy Benner. "We're looking forward to playing at home against quality teams, and playing for the chance to host the conference championship."
 
Freshman Emma Schleucher had yet another solid evening at the net tallying 11 kills. Also leading the Cardinals in attack was Kayce Krucki who totaled 10 digs and .714 attack percentage.
 
It was Andrea Thobe who was steering the attack however, spreading the love with 32 assists and was among team leaders with six digs as well.
 
The first-place Cardinals return home for the final two regular season matches of the season against the second and third place teams in the Mountain East Conference this week when they take on Shepherd on Friday at 7:00pm and Fairmont on Saturday at 2:00pm.
