WHEELING, W.Va. - Nolan Whitely has been named the Wheeling Jesuit University Male Athlete of the Week following his perfect performance over the weekend at the Washington and Jefferson College Invitational.

Whitely, a sophomore from Cleveland, Ohio, recorded a perfect 5-0 record on the day and took first place in the 133 pound weight class. He recorded an impressive 18-2 victory and later defeated Heidelberg’s Ryan Homack, 3-1, in the finals.

The WJU wrestling team returns to action on Thursday, November 19 when they compete at West Liberty University.
