Javelin Takes Home Second Straight Individual Title to Lead Men'a Track

The Wheeling University Men's Track and Field team got their second event of the 2026 outdoor season underway today, as they made the short trip up the hilltop to compete in the West Liberty Tim Weaver Invitational. With only two Cardinals competing on the first day, Wheeling would still come away with an event win thanks to Felix Manyani.

Manyani was joined by his teammate Erick Berroa in the Men's Javelin throw, who had a positive result in his own right, coming 7th out of 26 throwing a 43.81m on his second throw. Stealing the show however would be Manyani, who beat his nearest competitor by just shy of 4 metres, throwing 54.98 on his third attempt to take the win.

The Wheeling University Track and Field team return to action tomorrow, March 28th, when they compete in day 2 of the Tim Weaver Invitational, with first vents beginning around 12 PM.
