Men's track & field establishes multiple PRs at Ashland Invite

ASHLAND, Ohio (April 24) – The Wheeling University men's track & field team competed at the Ashland Alumni Invitational this past Saturday.
 
Senior Brian Vandusen won the long jump with a mark of 7.08 meters (23 feet, 2.75 inches). He also posted a season's best time in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.13 seconds.
 
Freshman Julian Griffin recorded a PR in both the 200-meter and 110-meter hurdles. His time of 22.91 seconds in the 200 hurdles placed him ninth overall. He clocked in at 14.82 seconds in the 110 hurdles to take eighth at the event.
 
Freshman Cameron Ferguson notched a new PR in the long jump with a measured distance of 6.94 meters (22 feet, 9.25 inches) to take fourth overall.
 
Graduate student Cameron Gibson established a PR in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.50 seconds.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team of Gibson, Moses Koroma, Art Williams and Jacob Pielech turned in a season's-best time of three minutes, 26 seconds to collect fourth place.
