Box Score WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team got back to it's winning ways on Tuesday, with a 3-0 victory over cross-town rivals, West Liberty.
The 25-17, 25-15, 25-18 victory puts the Cardinals, at 25-5 (12-0 MEC) on the season. The win also helps WJU rebound from two consecutive road losses, and cuts another notch in the win column headed into the tail end of the season.
WJU was led on attack by freshman
Emma Schleucher who had 13 kills.
Haley Kindall, the freshman from Westerville, Ohio added 10 kills, and senior standout
Jenna Pew added 9 kills as well.
Andrea Thobe had a monster game in assists, tallying 39 of WJUs 41 total assists on the evening.
Defensively, the Cardinals totaled 65 digs and were led by Thobe who had 15, and
Kayce Krucki and
Makenzie Ripley who had 13 digs apiece.
The Cardinals return to Mountain East play on Friday, on the road at Urbana.
