Jesuit Women Fall to Crimson Hawks

Box Score WHEELING, W.Va. --- The Wheeling Jesuit women's soccer team battled the Crimson Hawks of Indiana University of Pennsylvania on the road Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, IUP touched the back of the net first in the 48th minute when Tonya Fabian received a pass from Taylor Vladic. With a 1-0 IUP advantage, the match was interrupted due to lightning, and after an hour long break play resumed.

The Crimson Hawks continued to pressure the Cardinal defense and was awarded a penalty kick after a foul in the box. WJU goal keeper Holly Kraus denied the PK attempt, but in the 54th minute IUP added a second score which proved to be to much for the Cardinals to overcome.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Wednesday, September 5 in Philippi, W.Va. for a WVIAC contest against Alderson Broaddus College. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
