Griffins Strike First, Cards Fall 1-0

Box Score WHEELING, W.Va.---The Wheeling Jesuit women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Seton Hill University at James LaRosa Soccer Complex on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals held the Griffins scoreless in the first half, and the two teams shared a 2-2 split in shots and corner attempts.

Seton Hill turned up the aggression in the second half, attempting six shots to the Cardinals' one. In the 56th minute, SHU's Katelyn Wiater broke the scoring silence, and lifted the Griffins to a 1-0 advantage which proved to be enough for the WVIAC win.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Tuesday, October 23 at James LaRosa Soccer Complex for Senior Night against the University of Charleston. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
