WHEELING, W.Va. – Kayce Krucki has earned WJU Female Athlete of the Week honors. Krucki, a junior outside hitter from Findlay, Ohio, helped lead the Cardinal volleyball team to its third consecutive Mountain East Conference Championship, as WJU defeated Fairmont State, 3-1, on Saturday night.

Krucki was tabbed the MEC Volleyball player of the year early last week. She finished the regular season with 334 kills and a hitting percentage of .266. Kayce also finished second on the team with 378 digs.

Krucki led the Cardinals to clean sweeps over West Virginia Wesleyan and Shepherd University. Against the Bobcats, Krucki notched four kills, five digs, and two block assists. She went on to tally 11 kills while hitting .550 against Shepherd.

Her most impressive performance of the weekend came in the MEC championship match against Fairmont State. Krucki pounded 14 kills and hit at a .351 clip. She added 15 blocks and three digs. She earned MEC All-Tournament team honors following this performance.
