Sienaert Kicks off Tim Weaver in Multi Event

The Wheeling University Women's Track and Field team today travelled up the hilltop to compete in this weekends Tim Weaver Invitational hosted by West Liberty. It is the team's second event of the 2026 outdoor season, and it got started with Fenne Sienaert and Madison Conrad competing in the Women's Heptathlon and 1500m respectively.

Sienaert would be one of two lady Cardinals in action today, as she completed the first half of the Womens Heptathlon. First up this afternoon was the 100 metres, where Sienaert ran 18.45 to place 7th in the field. Next up was the 200m, in which Fenne placed 4th with a time of 28.54. With the track events for day 1 finished Sienaert then placed her efforts in the high jump, where she took silver with a jump of 1.47m. The field events would be where Sienaert started to thrive, as she again took silver in the shot put, the last heptathlon event of the day. A throw of 9.42 metres would clinch the freshman 2nd, and 3rd in the total standings going into tomorrow.

Madison Conrad would be the last Cardinal in action today, as she took her efforts to the 1500m. Conrad ran a season best 5:08.27 to take bronze in the elite field amongst some of the regions best.
