Wheeling, W. Va. - After inclement weather and a 2023 postseason run by the Wheeling University Baseball team postponed the event, the 2023 Wheeling University Baseball/Softball Golf Scramble is back. Wheeling Head Baseball Coach Ryan Lewicki announced that the event will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at the Wheeling Country Club, with a shotgun start scheduled for 1 PM. It will be a chance to come out for a fun round of 18-hole golf, while supporting the baseball and softball teams as they prepare for the 2024 season. 

The day begins with registration at 12 PM at the Wheeling Country Club, with each foursome costing $320, which can be paid via cash or check. Drinks will be provided throughout the day at the Country Club, with golf starting at 1 PM. There will be several games throughout the day, including mulligans, skins games, and closest to the pin among several others. Participants can also enter a 50/50 raffle as well as the opportunity to win door prizes. The day concludes with a catered lunch at the Wheeling Country Club for all participants.
