Women's track & field competes at Ashland Invite

ASHLAND, Ohio (April 24) – The Wheeling University women's track & field team traveled to the Ashland Alumni Invitational this past Saturday.
 
Junior Caroline Fodor posted a PR in the 800-meter run with a time of two minutes, 20.99 seconds. Her time slots as the fastest in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) this season.
 
Freshman Jaci Rife notched a new PR in the long jump. She measured at 5.52 meters to place 
 
Freshman Bre'ya Clopper turned in a new PR in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of one minute, 6.52 seconds to place fourth overall.
 
Freshman Princess Love established PRs in both the shot and discus. She placed second overall in the shot put with a mark of 12.16 meters (39 feet, 10.75 inches) and took 11th in the discus at 35.33 meters (115 feet, 11 inches).
 
Freshman Ka'niya McGowan clocked in at 12.64 second in the 100-meter dash to place fifth, while sophomore Suzan Trammel recorded a new PR in the event with a time of 12.83 seconds to place eight overall.
 
Sophomore Savanaugh Anderson posted a new PR in the 1,500-meter run. She crossed the tape in five minutes, 37.16 seconds to place 13th overall.
