INDIANAPOLIS (March 3) - Wheeling University senior Danielle Stewart (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) has qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships announced the selection committees Tuesday.

The championships will be held March 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham CrossPlex. The University of Montevallo and the City of Birmingham will serve as co-hosts of the championships.

Stewart turned in a personal-record vault of 3.93 meters (12 feet, 10.75 inches) at the Youngstown State University Mid-Major Invitational on January 31 to qualify for the national championships.

A total of 540 participants, 270 men and 270 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching the automatic and provisional standards established for each event. The complete list of qualifiers is available here.
