Cardinals Aim for Third-Straight Win Against Fighting Scots

After a tough first part of the schedule, the Cardinals look to have caught their men's lacrosse stride. Fresh off two wins in a row, Wheeling Jesuit aims to make it three Saturday afternoon at home against Ohio Valley.
 
The Cardinals (3-7) are set to battle the Fighting Scots (4-5) in a 1 p.m. opening face off on Bishop Schmitt Field.
 
WJU comes off its highest goal output of the season. The Cardinals netted 18 goals in their decisive 18-7 win at Davis & Elkins on Wednesday night. Matt Lee led the WJU charge with six goals and an assist.
 
The WJU win followed a 13-5 road victory at Walsh where Jordan Getz found the back of the net four times and passed off three assists.
 
Over those last two matches, the Cardinals have outscored their foes, 31-12.
 
Ohio Valley put a win to its record at Alderson Broaddus, 14-13, last Saturday. The Fighting Scots are 2-3 in their last five matches and 1-3 in away contests.
 
Both WJU and OVU have lost to Indianapolis and Lindenwood. The Cardinals, though, were only outscored in those two matches 20-13 (8-6 loss to Indy & 12-7 loss to Lindenwood), while the Fighting Scots marging was 55-10 (25-5 vs. Indy & 30-5 vs. Lindenwood).
