Cardinals Look to Even Record on 'Senior Day' Against No. 10 Griffins

WHEELING, W.Va. – In a slow-starting season, the Cardinals men's lacrosse team looks to complete its surge to the end of the season on Saturday. Wheeling Jesuit will honor its five senior and aim for its second upset of a ranked foe against No. 10 Seton Hill.

After dropping its first four matches and seven of the first eight, the Cardinals (6-7) take a five-match win streak into Saturday's 1 p.m. season finale. In order to even its mark, WJU needs to record its second nationally-ranked upset against the Griffins (9-4).

Before Saturday's match, WJU will honor its five seniors – Hayden Binnix, Luke Gilman, Kellen McMahon, Joe Wright and Jack Brandenburg – who will be taking the field for the final time.

Within their current five-match win streak, the Cardinals have doubled the goal scoring of their opponents, 72-36. This goal advantage includes last weekend's 15-11 road victory at Alderson Broaddus.

Seton Hill brings in its own four-game winning run. The Griffins have outscored their foes in the last four matches by a 44-24 difference, including a 15-4 victory at Ohio Valley last Saturday.

Over the series, Seton Hill holds a 3-2 advantage despite a WJU 16-15 overtime win last April 23 in Greensburg, Pa.
