Cardinals Seek to Continue Winning Ways Against Battlers

PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The Cardinals resurgence looks to continue this Saturday afternoon. The Wheeling Jesuit men's lacrosse team travels to face an Alderson Broaddus team it has won each of the four program meetings.

WJU (5-7) heads to Philippi for the 1 p.m. Saturday match. The Cardinals look for their fifth victory in a row and fifth-straight in the series against the Battlers (1-8).

WJU comes off a dramatic 8-7 win in three overtimes last Saturday afternoon against nationally-ranked Lake Erie College. Trenton Kindall fired a 25-yard shot into the lower corner of the net with 1.9 seconds in the third extra period.

Alderson Broaddus comes off a 17-4 loss at Mercyhurst. The Battlers scored first and tied the game at 2-2, before the Lakers netted the next 13 goals of the match.

Over the series, WJU has claimed victories in each of the last four years.
