Box Score Wheeling, WVa. - Despite a strong defensive performance and a shot on goal advantage, the Men's Soccer team lost to Urbana University 1-0 on Wednesday night at Bishop Schmitt Field.
 
The difference in the game was Urbana's Mike Bamber, who scored a penalty kick goal at 16:17 of the first half.
 
The Cardinals had two golden opportunities to draw even with the Blue Knights.  At the 34:05 mark of the first half, Luke Roan stroked a curving free kick that just missed high left.  In the second half, Aitor Iniguez de Heredia just missed on a free kick that went high over the crossbar at the 7:00 mark.
 
The loss brings the Cardinals' record to 2-3-0 on the season.  Wheeling Jesuit returns to action this coming Saturday when it will host Shepherd University for another Mountain East Conference matchup at 1pm.
