Jesuit Men’s Soccer Plays in MEC Championship Sunday at 3pm

Wheeling, W. Va. – Wheeling Jesuit University Men's Soccer is in the Mountain East Conference Championship for the first time in three years.  The Cardinals will face the University of Charleston on their home field Sunday afternoon at 3pm.

Jesuit also has hopes of an NCAA at large bid.  A lot be determined in the next couple of days as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference continues its championship play.  Two key games to watch will be Mercyhurst vs. West Chester and Bloomsburg vs. Seton Hill.  Likely, a Bloomsburg win over Seton Hill would potentially spell an at large bid for the Cardinals.

This will be a third matchup of the Cardinals vs. the Golden Eagles of University of Charleston, with Charleston having the edge in the previous two contests.  University of Charleston comes in with the pressure being ranked number one in the country and region.  Last night, the Golden Eagles beat West Virginia Wesleyan 2-0 to advance to the Finals.  The Cardinals hope that the third time is a charm as they continue their impressive late season run.
