Ricky Moore, Class of 2004 (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park High School), graduated as one of the most decorated athletes in Wheeling Jesuit history and still holds multiple school records. He was a two-time NCAA All-American, four-time Academic All-American and a two-time WVIAC Athlete of the Year in both track & field and cross country. In total, he qualified for seven NCAA National Championships events, was a four-time All-WVIAC honoree, a two-time all-region selection, won six individual WVIAC championships, and finished in third-place at the 2004 NCAA Indoor Championships in the 5000-meter run to garner All-America status.

Moore's team's also shared in his success on the track. Wheeling Jesuit won two WVIAC cross country and track & field team championships each during his career with the Cardinals.

Moore graduated from Wheeling Jesuit with a bachelor's degree in history and went on to compete professionally for Saucony in events around the United States, finishing in the top-15 of several major events. He left Wheeling Jesuit as the owner of five school records, three of which still stand today.

At the time of his induction, Moore was entering his 12th year as the head track & field and cross country coach at Wheeling Jesuit, where he has tutored numerous all-region athletes and national qualifiers.

He resides in Wheeling with his wife, Bethany, and their sons, Redick (12), Rylan (8) and Ryker (4).
