Wheeling Jesuit redshirt freshman Pat Ammar earned WJU Men's Athlete of the Week for his selection to the second-team All-WVIAC.

The redshirt freshman from Broadview Heights, Ohio suffered a season-ending injury during 2010-11, and returned to WJU in 2011-12 for a second rookie season. He made an immediate impact with the Cardinals’ offense, leading in batting average (.368), slugging percentage (.541), hits (49) and triples (3) while ranking second in doubles (8) and homeruns (3).
