WHEELING, W.Va. (Aug. 20) - Wheeling University Track & Field Head Coach
Patrick Stanton has unveiled his recruiting class for this upcoming season.
These individuals have either signed national letters of intent (NLIs) or institutional letters expressing their desire to compete at Wheeling. This year's class features student-athletes from 12 different states.
"We couldn't be more excited about this year's recruiting class," said Stanton. "This is the biggest class we've had in recent memory, and this year's crop is just as talented as it is deep. We have athletes coming from a dozen different states, from Texas to Michigan to Maryland to West Virginia. We have student-athletes coming in from all over the country to make their homes in Wheeling."
"We expect this class to give us the depth and high-level talent we need to really have break out season on the national scene," he continued. "This is a product of the hard work of our entire coaching staff, highlighted by the leadership of our Sprints/Hurdles Coach and Recruiting Coordinator
Rich Materkoski, as well as the leadership and culture put in place by our upperclassmen. We see this is the foundation of what will be a nationally competitive program for years to come."
