Men's Soccer Return Home to Host Charleston

The Wheeling Men's Soccer Team return to action tomorrow, Sunday October 4th, as they Welcome the University of Charleston to Bishop Schmitt Field. The Cardinals are coming off the back of a gutsy 1-0 win away at West Virginia Wesleyan, where a late first half goal from Jon-Michael Gordon proved to be the difference maker.

Tomorrows meeting with the Golden Eagles will be the 50th time the two sides have met, with the Golden Eagles holding the positive record. The Cardinals have come out on top 11 times out of 49, with seven of those being on home turf. The Cardinals haven't beaten the Golden eagles in a little over 10 years, as the Charleston program is one of the best in the country. Jack Shearer will know that his side have their work cut out tomorrow afternoon, but will come with the confidence of two wins in the last three. Charleston have lost two games so far this season, losing to Saginaw Valley State and Davis & Elkins.

The Cardinals will know there is a tall task ahead tomorrow, but will know they can take the game straight to the Golden Eagles tomorrow. The Wheeling Men's Soccer team get underway against Charleston tomorrow afternoon at 5pm.
