The Wheeling University Men's Soccer Team (2-6)(4-7) get back on the road this weekend after their Wednesday win over Shawnee State, as they make the short trip north to take on the Salem Tigers. It was Luis Yanes and Elie Simon on the scoresheet last time out, as the Cardinals dominated in a 2-1 win over Shawnee State.

Head Coach Jack Shearer will be encouraged with his sides performance against Shawnee state, only allowing one shot on the Cardinal goal all evening. Wheeling themselves had 11 from a total of 21 shots, marking an extremely positive and momentum-building game for the Cardinals. Wheeling have won three of their last five games, and are showing much more fluidity going forward as they gear up for a conference run.

Tomorrow afternoon will be a great chance for the Cardinals to extend their run of form, with tomorrow's opponents Salem losing six of their last seven games. The Tigers have clearly been struggling at home this season, winning only one game from six. Their first home win came just one week ago on October 3rd, as they kept Malone out in a 1-0 win.

The Cardinals have a strong record against the Tigers, winning 14 of 21 previous meetings. Moreover, Wheeling has never lost to the Tigers away from home, winning eight times and tying once. A strong away record like this one will fill Jack Shearer with confidence as he prepares to travel tomorrow, with multiple players in fine form. Six different Cardinals have gotten on the scoresheet for Wheeling in the last five games, putting the various outlets of the Cardinal attack on show. With a loss against Salem last season at home, Wheeling will expect nothing less than to right the ship and move on with a win tomorrow.

The Wheeling University Men's Soccer Team will kick off from Salem tomorrow at 2pm.
