Wheeling, W. Va. - Day two of the Judd Logan Invitational rolled on Saturday with the remainder of the track & field events competing. The Wheeling University Women's Indoor Track & Field team was back in action, and had five athletes compete across three different events. The Cardinals added another top 20 finish to round out the event as they continued down the road towards the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Leading the way for the Cardinals was Tara Perry, who competed in both the Women's High Jump and the 60-Meter Hurdles. Her top finish on the day came in the Women's High Jump, where she finished 16th overall with a height of 1.50 meters. It was the third time this season that Perry has hit the 1.50 meter mark and continues her string of 1.50 meter performances or better through indoor season. She would return to action in the track events, running in the 60-Meter Hurdles to round out the day. She would finish 46th overall with a time of 10.16 to finish out the weekend.
The final event of the day for the Cardinals was the 60-Meter Dash, with three Cardinals competing in the event. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Shannon Farrow, who finished 22nd overall with a time of 7.94 seconds. Deja Ryals would be the other top 30 finisher for the Cardinals, taking 29th with a time of 8.05 seconds, and Trinity Ortiz would round out the event taking 51st with a time of 9.10 seconds.
The Wheeling University Indoor Women's Track & Field team returns to action on Friday, February 14th, when they compete at the Douglas Raymond Invitational.
