McCurry Headlines Day Two of Doug Raymond Invitational with Top 15 Placement

Kent, O.H- Day two of the Doug Raymond Invitational concluded with the Wheeling University Women's Indoor Track & Field team coming home with three finishes within the top 20.

For the first event of the day, Keala McCurry kicked off day two with the Pole Vault. She ended up clearing the bar by 3.19 meters to place 13th in the pack, the best performance for the Cardinals. Wheeling would then send three of its athletes to race in the 60 Dash. Shannon Farrow was the 18th to cross the finish line with a time of 8.015 seconds. Tailing her by a hair was Deja Rylas with a time of 8.019 seconds to place 20th and Trinity Ortiz rounded out the group at 30th with a time of 9.03 seconds. The final event for the team came in the 400 Dash as the Cardinals trotted out Bre'ya Clopper. By the end of it, she crossed the line in 1:06.13 to place 28th.

With the completion of the Doug Raymond Invitational, the Wheeling University Women's Track & Field team will continue training for the Mountain East Conference Championships, which are scheduled for February 23-24th, 2025 in Huntington, West Virginia.
