Wheeling, W. Va. - On Wednesday, the Wheeling University Athletic Department announced the release of Women's Basketball season ticket plans for the 2022-23 season. With 14 home games inside the Alma Grace McDonough Center, including two big non-conference matchups, there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to come out and cheer on the Cardinals. Season ticket plans start at $112 for General Admission and just $56 for students and seniors to catch the Cardinals all season long. 

After playing their first three games of the year on the road, Wheeling opens their 2022-23 home slate with Mountain East Conference action against Alderson Broaddus on Wednesday, November 22nd. It is the first of back-to-back conference contests, with Davis & Elkins to follow on Saturday, and one of three conference games at home during the 2022 portion of the schedule. To round out 2022, the Cardinals will welcome in a pair of non-conference opponents in mid-December when they take on Grand Valley State on December 18th and Lake Erie the following day. 

The 2023 portion of the schedule also begins with non-conference action as the Cardinals play host to Malone on January 2nd. Then begins the stretch run for the MEC playoff tournament, and the Cardinals will have plenty of home action during the run. The month of January sees the Cardinals play six of their nine contests at home, including their annual "Battle for Wheeling" against West Liberty on January 18th. The regular season ends in February with three home games on the slate. They will take on West Virginia State on February 4th, followed by a rematch of the 2022 MEC Quarterfinals against Glenville State on February 11th. They round out their regular season home schedule on February 18th against Frostburg State as they head towards the WesBanco Arena and the MEC Tournament.

Upon purchase, fans will receive a season pass card, which they can show to get access to every home game throughout the 2022-23 season. 

The Wheeling University Women's Basketball team kicks off their season on Saturday, November 12th when they take on Lock Haven University at the Seton Hill Crossover tournament.
