PAINESVILLE, Ohio (April 10) – The Wheeling men's lacrosse team was dealt a 21-3 loss at Lake Erie in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference bout Saturday night.
The Cardinals (1-7, 0-3 G-MAC) got goals from freshmen
Jake Wodarek,
Jacob Knippel and
Robert Ros, while
Brody Fawver was created with a pair of assists.
Lake Erie (3-5, 1-2 G-MAC) held a 48-to-20 advantage in total shots, including a 34-to-12 advantage in shots on-goal.
Junior
Dallin Isaacson made 11 saves in net. He was relieved in the fourth quarter by freshman
Christian Nestor, who made two saves in the final 15 minutes.
Wheeling's match against Frostburg State slated for this Monday has been postponed for a second time.
The Cardinals next contest on the schedule is a re-match with Davis & Elkins on Saturday, April 17 at 5 p.m. in Elkins, West Virginia.
