WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. (Feb. 26) - The Wheeling University women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by West Liberty Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Cardinals and Hilltoppers combined for 10 shots in the first half, but none found the back of the net.
  • The Hilltoppers struck first when a shot in the 63rd-minute found the back of the net to give West Liberty a 1-0 lead.
  • West Liberty took away all hopes of a Wheeling comeback when a goal in the 85th-minute extended the lead to 2-0.
