ATHENS, W.Va. (Nov. 12) – The No. 15 Wheeling University volleyball team collected a 3-0 win at Concord Friday evening in a Mountain East Conference (MEC) match.

• Records: Wheeling (27-3, 15-0 MEC) | Concord (10-20, 4-11 MEC)

TEAM LEADERS

• Junior Cassie Meyer (Jackson Center, Ohio/Jackson Center) led the team with 18 kills in the win. 
• Junior Breanna Kramer (Norwalk, Ohio/Monroeville) posted 11 kills with six digs.
• Senior Haley Kramer (Norwalk, Ohio/Monroeville) finished with a team-high four blocks and seven kills.
• Sophomore Lexi Smith (Portsmouth, Ohio/Notre Dame) established a career-high with eight kills on 11 attacks (.636 hitting percentage).
• Senior Stephanie Sylvester (Oregon, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) tossed around 42 assists to guide the offense.
• Junior Audrey Francis (Sidney, Ohio/Fairlawn) was all over the place defensively with 22 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Wheeling opened up leads of 7-1, 17-13 and 23-16 before closing out the first set at 25-20.
• Concord kept the second set close early, but a 14-7 run by the Cardinals allowed them to take a 2-0 lead in the set at 25-14.
• The third set was not as close. Wheeling established leads of 10-1, 16-5 and 21-7, before completing the three-set sweep at 25-14.

• Wheeling closes out the regular-season tomorrow, Saturday, November 16 when they travel to Glenville State for an early 10 a.m. match.
