BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (Oct. 23) - The Wheeling University men's soccer team fell 3-0 at West Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday evening in a Mountain East Conference (MEC) match.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The first half of the match belonged to the Bobcats, as they notched two goals. One in the 15th-minute, and the second in the 39th to take a 2-0 lead into the break. 
  • The second half produced another Wesleyan goal in the 80th minute that proved to be more than enough to secure the win. 

MATCH NOTES

  • Sophomore goalkeeper James Serman (Auburndale, Fla./Auburndale) finished with five saves in the match. Serman has recorded five saves in four different matches this season. 
  • West Virginia Wesleyan finished with a 16-to-5 advantage in shots.
