Trailing 9-5 three minutes gone in the fourth quarter, Downs found the net at 11:04, before Lee fired home goals just over a minute apart (6:28 and 5:10) to make it a 9-8 deficit. The Lions' Kevin Pastier sealed the match with an insurance score with 2:13 for the final tally.
Downs led the Cardinals (5-7) with three goals. Lee added an assist and three ground balls to his two goals. Phil Buns scored one goal and assisted on another.
Travis Getz and
Ryan Gossett chipped in one goal and
Max Butler finished with an assist.
In net,
Jake Lilly stopped 10 Molloy (7-5) shots for WJU.
WJU has a week off before it travels to take on Mercyhurst next Saturday, April 21, in a 2 p.m. match.
