WHEELING, W.Va. –
In the upcoming Mountain East Conference weekend, the Wheeling Jesuit softball team host both the University of Virginia's College at Wise and Concord.

The Cardinals (13-13/7-7 MEC North) aim to build upon a 4-2 last week. The four WJU wins included North Division sweeps of West Liberty and Shepherd.

WJU opens the weekend with a 1 p.m. Saturday twinbill against UVa.-Wise (17-13/8-6 MEC South) at the J.B. Chambers Complex. Rounding out the weekend, the Cardinals host the Mountain Lions of Concord (18-20/7-7 MEC South) starting at noon on Sunday.

For Saturday, UVa-Wise went 2-4 in three playing dates last week. The Cavaliers, though, have split a four-game series against the University of Charleston and one series with West Virginia Wesleyan.
