Cardinals Softball Set to Battle Pioneers and No. 12 Bobcats

GLENVILLE & BUCHANNON, W.Va. –
 In a weekend road swing starting on Good Friday, the Wheeling Jesuit softball is set to make it better than a good trip to Glenville State and No. 12 West Virginia Wesleyan.
 
The Cardinals (15-15/9-9 Mountain East Conference North) come off a 2-2 four-game home weekend a week ago. WJU split a pair of doubleheaders against UVa-Wise and Concord.
 
WJU opens its action at Glenville State Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Pioneers (11-26/5-13 MEC South) takes a four-game losing streak in the meeting. Glenville State dropped a 7-4 decision during the week at Ohio Valley after it dropped a twinbill versus Charleston and the second game against West Virginia State.
 
On Saturday, the Cardinals take on their highest ranked opponent of the year in the No. 12 Bobcats (26-6/14-4 MEC South) in a noon set of games. West Virginia Wesleyan won its last game and five of the last six, including sweeps of both Urbana and West Virginia State.
