Cardinals Volleyball Completes Weekend Sweep

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team completed the four-match weekend sweep of its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference competition. The Cardinals took a pair of 3-0 victories over the Griffins of Seton Hill and Golden Eagles of Clarion on Saturday.
 
No. 6 WJU (11-2) prevailed over Seton Hill (8-3) in quick fashion in an early morning match by scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-13. The Cardinals finished the four-match weekend with another three-setter over the Golden Eagles (5-6) of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-20.
 
Breanna Kramer paced WJU with 12 kills, hit .435 and added nine digs against Seton Hill. WJU hit an impressive .404 for the three-set match.
 
Emma Schleucher completed an error free Saturday. Schleucher downed 14 kills without an error in 31 swings. Maddy Smyth blasted 12 kills against Clarion as the top hitter in the late match.
 
WJU is now off until it plays at Notre Dame College next Friday, Sept. 23. First serve is 7 p.m.
