Cardinals Breeze Past Yellow Jackets

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – Beginning the final regular season road trip, the Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team breezed past West Virginia State in straight sets Friday night.
 
The No. 5 Cardinals (34-2/15-0 Mountain East Conference) made quick work of the Yellow Jackets (6-21/3-12 MEC) by set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-9.
 
Moving back to outside hitter for the match, Kayce Krucki swatted 12 kills at a .407, while she dug 10 digs for a double-double. Both Lauran Graves and Breanna Kramer sliced eight kills. Graves hit .633 with a career-high six assists and Kramer swung .438 with eight digs.
 
Stephanie Sylvester handed out 21 assists and Sam Obringer tallied a team-high 19 digs. Haley Kindall totaled five kills and five blocks with a .833 hitting night.
 
WJU completes its regular season Saturday afternoon in a 2 p.m. match at the University of Charleston.
