WHEELING, W.Va. – It was a repeat of Friday's results for the Wheeling Jesuit volleyball team. The Cardinals finished as a perfect host of the Wheeling Jesuit Invitational by defeating both Shippensburg and Seton Hill in 3-0 finals.

No. 10 WJU (10-3) completed a 5-0 week as it prevailed over Shippensburg (8-2) with scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-21 in the morning and bested Seton Hill (9-3) by sets of 25-9, 25-12 and 25-20 in the evening.
"It was a great overall weekend for us. Our players played hard and we are happy with our performances against two more quality teams from the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference)," said Cardinal head coach
Christy Benner.
The Cardinals used a balanced first match attack with nine kills from
Lauran Graves and eight apiece by
Emma Schleucher,
Kayce Krucki and
Katie Campbell. Freshman
Sydney Obringer lined a team-high 11 kills against Seton Hill.
WJU makes it five-straight PSAC foes as it travels to play California (Pa.) Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
No. 10 WJU 3, Shippensburg 0 (25-6, 25-13, 25-21)In the sets…In the opening set, Wheeling Jesuit's two runs proved to be too much for Shippensburg. WJU scored the first four points and added an 11-1 run midway through the set to open an 18-4 lead. The home team completed the dominating set, 25-6.
Tied 8-8, the Cardinals'
Katie Campbell two kills as part of a six-point spurt to open a 14-8 lead. Ship pulled to within 16-12, before WJU ran off nine of the final 10 tallies and 25-13 final.
The Raiders had their strongest set of the match in game three. The visitors held a 13-8 advantage, but they saw it erased with five consecutive Cardinal points for a 13-13 tie. WJU edged ahead for good with four points in a row for an 18-16 lead and eventual 25-21 final.

Holding an 8-6 advantage, WJU ran off the next nine tallies to break open set two for a 17-6 score. Graves and
Sydney Obringer finished off the set with back-to-back kills and 25-12 total.
Behind 16-8 in the third set, Seton Hill made a charge. The Griffins scored eight of the 12 points to pull to within 19-16. WJU answered with the following three points, before it completed the match sweep, 25-20.
