SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. – In the sport's first league season, the Wheeling Jesuit women's lacrosse team aims for the inaugural Mountain East Conference Championship this weekend.
 
The first MEC Tournament will take place at Rams Stadium on the campus of top-seed Shepherd University.
 
The Lady Cardinals battles West Virginia Wesleyan in Friday's first semifinal. The first draw control is set for 1 p.m. No. 1 seed Shepherd faces No. 4 The University of Virginia's College at Wise in a 4 p.m. match. The MEC Championship match is set for Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m.
 
WJU (6-7) went 4-1 in the MEC regular season, second only to Shepherd's 5-0.
