We talked about committing to defense and rebounding for the last few weeks and it has paid off for us. Tonight we outrebounded a very athletic team by 15 rebounds. As a program, we have learned how to win the big game and we are still trying to get better going into the last three games of the regular season," stated Head Coach Deb Buff.
The victory improves the overall record of the Women's Basketball program to 16-7 on the season and 13-6 in the Mountain East Conference. With three games remaining in the regular season, Coach Buff's program has eclipsed the win total of a year ago, which was the best record since 2006.
