Box Score 2 CEDARVILLE, Ohio---The Wheeling Jesuit softball team fell 14-1 and 8-0 to Cedarville University in their final regular season non-conference doubleheader. Wheeling Jesuit will enter the WVIAC conference tournament with an overall record of 20-30 and 13-13 in league play. The Cardinals enter the season finale as the eight seed and will play the top-seeded Falcons of Fairmont State University on Thursday, May 2 in Vienna, W.Va. at 12 p.m.
 
The Cardinals only managed to spray five hits in game one as 
Ali Smith and Rachael Conrad led with two hits each. Conrad added a RBI when 
Lorian Tharp reached on a walk, and Smith and Conrad delivered back-to-back singles. 
Courtnie Snyder rounded out the Cardinals' offense with a single to right field. In game two, Jesuit's offense recorded three hits. Tharp and Snyder recorded the first two singles, and 
Jarah Ice tallied the final single.
 
Cedarville pitchers, Spann and Spain, combined for the game one win. Spann hurled four innings, scattering five hits for one run with a walk and four strikeouts. Spain finished the game, recording the final three outs with one strikeout. WJU's Smith received the loss, allowing five earned runs on 15 hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
 
Erika Jusko earned the game two loss with 4.2 innings pitched and eight runs, two earned, on 10 hits and a walk. Cedarville's DeBartolo won the complete game shutout, allowing three hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
