Melissa Bozovich enters her second full season as Wheeling University's Faculty Athletic Representative. She serves as the liaison between the Athletic Department and the academic side, ensuring all students can get the best help that they need in the classroom.
Along with her role as FAR, Bozovich also serves as the Chair of the University's Athletic Training and Exercise Science Programs and the Director of the Master's of Science of Athletic Training (MSAT) Program. She works hand in hand with the students in these programs, providing them both classroom instruction and leadership in the field working with the university's 22 intercollegiate varsity sports. As FAR, Bozovich insures grades are kept accurately and helps to verify students for the academic awards given across every sport by various organizations.
Along with her duties as both FAR and Academically, Bozovich also assists the Wheeling Athletic Training Staff, providing coverage for teams. She is a certified athletic trainer and licensed Physical Therapist, and has assisted in providing coverage for practices and games across the university's 22 varsity sports.
Bozovich is an alumni of Waynesburg (College) University, where she earned her Bachelor's in Athletic Training and Biology. She went on to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wheeling (Jesuit) University. Her daughter Mallory Bozovich is a student at Wheeling University, and a member of the Wheeling Women's Golf Team.
