Gillian Warner enters her first full season as a Graduate Assistant under Sports Information Director Zack Zeigler during the 2025-2026 season. She joined the department last spring after serving as the Women's Lacrosse Graduate Assistant in the Fall of 2024.
Warner performed several duties in the Sports Information office during the 2025 spring season, including updating Gameday programs, writing press releases, and insuring the historical data was kept up to date. Warner also assisted in several Gameday operations, including running scoreboard, camera, and other essential functions to help Wheeling University Gamedays run smoothly throughout the year.
Prior to her time at Wheeling, Warner was a student at Ashland University, where she played four seasons as a member of the Women's Lacrosse team. Throughout her career, she appeared in 17 games for the Eagles as part of the team's defensive unit. She was named to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) Academic All-Conference team during the 2022-2023 season, and appeared in a career-best eight games during the 2022 season.
Warner is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration at Wheeling University. She graduated from Ashland in the Spring of 2024.
