Wheeling University Athletics

Elijah Stark will begin his first year as a graduate assistant under Sports Information Director Zack Zeigler during the 2025-26 athletic year. Elijah will assist Zeigler in a wide variety of roles to enhance the athletic experience of coaches, athletes, and fans at Wheeling University.

During Elijah’s time at Wheeling he worked with Zeigler and his team through the school’s work study program. He gained experience in a range of gameday duties including stream producer, camera operator, and color commentator alongside Alex Baker. Elijah has also helped in stream production and camera operations for Grand Valley State University and the GLIAC conference.

Elijah graduated from Wheeling University in 2025 with a 3.84 GPA and earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. Elijah was a member of Wheeling’s baseball team during the 24-25 season. Before Wheeling he was a student athlete at Grand Valley State University and Lansing Community College. Elijah made the Deans list in every semester at GVSU and graduated with his Associate degree from LCC Magna Cum Laude. Athletically at LCC, Elijah threw over 100 innings and appeared in back to back National Junior College Athletic Association World Series teams. Elijah was also a member of the Stars Leadership Council.

Elijah is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Wheeling University. His future plans include pursuing a career in the sports world and he is excited to take his first steps at Wheeling Uniersity.
