Pia Selke enters her first season as a Graduate Assistant for the 2025-26 Wheeling Cardinals Volleyball team under head coach Christy Benner. She moves on from the University of Charleston, where she had a very successful career.
Selke attended Charleston from 2022-2024 where she made an immediate impact. During the 2024 season, she finished third on the team with 280 kills, averaged 2.67 kills per set, and was 10th in the Mountain East Conference with a .253 hitting percentage and on defense, she finished second on her squad with 87.0 blocks. Her play helped the Golden Eagles clinch the second seed in the MEC's South Division to then defeat Fairmont State in round one, three sets to one, finishing the game with nine kills and eight block assists for 14.0 points. She would aid Charleston greatly and help cement the Golden Eagles as a serious threat in the South Division. Selke helped the team make the MEC Tournament all three years while at UC, including earning the fourth seed in the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament back in 2022. The Golden Eagles were eliminated in the semifinals that year, but Selke's play demanded recognition. She was named First Team All-MEC and was an All-Atlantic Region Selection.
Before transferring to the University of Charleston for the 2022 season, she attended the College of Southern Idaho in 2021. She finished her freshman year third on the team with 143 kills and with the second best hitting percentage on the team at .369.
Selke graduated from the University of Charleston in 2025 with a Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics.
