Audrey (Francis) Emerich enters her second season as a Graduate Assistant with the Wheeling University Volleyball staff during the 2023 season.

In her first season as a Graduate Assistant, Emerich helped lead the Wheeling Volleyball team to their 10th consecutive MEC Championship. She worked primarily with the Cardinal's defensive game, assisting liberos Berit Jones and Chylyn Pate throughout the season. Under her watch, the Cardinal defense came up with 1,933 Digs during the year and sat fifth in the conference in that category.

She had one of the most decorated Volleyball careers in Wheeling University history, playing for Head Coach Christy Benner from 2017 - 2021. During that time, she was a five-time All-MEC Award winner and a five-time All-MEC Libero of the Year winner, the most awards for any player in MEC history. She also holds the MEC Career Digs record over her five years in a Cardinals uniform.

During her five seasons, she led the team to the MEC Championship in all five seasons as well as appearances in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships. In 2021, she won the AVCA Third-Team All-American Award for the third time during her career. 

Emerich graduated from Wheeling University in 2021 with a degree Education and is now pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership here at Wheeling University.
