Runyararo Mukangure is entering his first season as a Graduate Assistant on Head Coach Jaclyn Ketter's staff, and his second season overall as a Graduate Assistant in the Wheeling Atheltics Department. During the 2025-2026 season, he served as a Graduate Assistant with the Women's Lacrosse team, helping to guide them bac to the MEC Tournament.
While working with the Women's Lacrosse program in 2026, Mukangure would help with logisitics with travel, meals, and all other day-to-day operations with the team. He would also help out with drills during practices, while learning the sport and helping run players through drills. He was also a crucial part of the team's strength and conditioning program, helping write and lead workouts for the team.
As a player, Mukangure spent four seasons playing with the Wheeling Men's Rugby team, helping lead them to back-to-back National Championships in 2024 and 2025. Mukangure would play a big role on defense and helping set up the teams set pieces. He would score one try across four seasons, but played a big role behind the scenes for the team.
Mukangure graduated from Wheeling University in the spring of 2025, earning his Bacehlor's Degree in Business Administration. He is currently studying to obtain his Master's in Business Administration from Wheeling University.
