Denise O’Donnell joined the Wheeling Jesuit women’s soccer coaching staff during the spring semester of 2013.
Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, O’Donnell was a member of the Hamilton Academicals. During the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons, the women’s squad won the league championship and Scottish Cup. As she made her way through the developmental and regional ranks, O’Donnell was recognized as a Scottish National team player.
In 2008, O’Donnell was a starter at the University of North Alabama, a NCAA Division II institution in the Gulf South Conference. She spent the next three seasons (2009-11) as an assistant coach, where the Lions advanced to the GSC tournament championship and NCAA national tournament for three consecutive years. UNA won the GSC title in 2011.
O’Donnell graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from UNA and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Accounting (MSA) at Wheeling Jesuit.
