Carrie (Plute) Hanna is no stranger to Wheeling Jesuit Women's Soccer tradition of excellence. Within the past decade she filled the roles of player, assistant coach, and currently head coach.

Hanna's current record in her 11 seasons as head coach with the Lady Cardinals is 130-84-6. She has also led the team to a Regular Season Northern Division Champion title, two consecutive Regular Season Conference Runner-Up titles, two consecutive Regular Season Conference Champion titles, and three consecutive Conference Tournament Championship titles, two NCAA National Tournament Appearances, an NCAA National Ranking of Twenty, and 2007 NCAA Division II Statistical Champion for Scoring Offense.

Carrie Hanna graduated Wheeling Jesuit University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She continued her education at West Virginia University earning a Master's degree in Sports Psychology in 1999.

Carrie's collegiate playing career includes: 1992 women's soccer leading scorer in the nation (all divisions), four-time All-American honors, three-time Scholar All-American, all-time leading scorer and retired jersey at WJU. Hanna continued playing after college professionally for the New Jersey Wildcats and for Crailsheim in Germany. Coaching for over a decade in some capacity at various levels of play, Hanna has acquired invaluable knowledge within her profession. In 2005 Carrie Hanna was named WVIAC Coach of the Year.

Originally from McDonald, PA she and her husband, David, live in Wheeling with their daughters Graceylyn Mae and Lilyan Morgan and son Wilson David.
