Sammy Kondroik enters his first season as a Volunteer Assistant on Ryan Lewicki's Wheeling Baseball staff for the 2025 season and will also serve as a Graduate Assistant on Mallory Chapman's Wheeling Softball Staff. Kondroik will work with both team's catchers throughout the season.
Kondroik spent the past five seasons in a Cardinal uniform, where he finished playing in 31 games and hitting .147 across 68 total at-bats. His best season came as a junior, where he hit ,189 with a home run and three RBI across 37 at-bats. He helped lead the Cardinals to back-to-back MEC Tournament appearances in 2023 and 2024, the first time that has happened in program history.
Kondroik graduated from Wheeling University in 2024 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.
